Susie and Bob Oestringer started Comfort At Home Senior and Family Care five years ago because a close friend of theirs fell in her kitchen resulting in a neck injury. At the time there were no services in the area that offered the help they needed at home. After this experience, it was clear to Susie that there was a need for an in-home care service in their community for people who need help but want to remain in their homes for as long as possible. So, Comfort At Home Senior and Family Care was started.
Following an incident two years later involving a client who removed their emergency alert pendent to take a shower, fell, and lay on the floor for almost two days, Susie set out to find an emergency alert system that could be worn 24/7, was waterproof, and did not require charging every day like the system their client had. That search led them to Electronic Caregiver.
Susie and Bob are happy to introduce Electronic Caregiver to anyone in the Southwestern Illinois counties of Madison, St. Clair, Washington, Clinton, Marion, and Bond Counties which include the cities of Belleville, Edwardsville, Highland, Greenville, Carlyle, Centralia, Okawville, and Nashville, IL.

“You could fall and not be able to touch anything or call anybody. If you touch the button on your wrist, that’s all you need to do!”
This past week, we took my father with us to Phoenix, AZ. I did not even think about the Electronic Caregiver until I received a phone call that there had not been movement in my father’s room! It is such a comfort knowing there is that added layer of care for my father! Thank you for providing this service!”
